Joint selection of sites in Germany

During 30 and 31 May and 5 and 6 June 2024, a joint selection of suitable study plots within the DiGraSo project was carried out in grasslands with high and low vascular plant diversity in Germany. The field team included project researchers from the Technical University of Liberec as the lead partner, together with project partners from the Senckenberg Museum, the Technical University of Dresden (IHI Zittau), and the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. The German partners identified appropriate areas for the DiGraSo project within selected regions in Germany, which were subsequently included in the project. Study plots at each site were then jointly selected based on detailed evaluation of vegetation status, soil conditions, exposition, and slope inclination, in collaboration with all participants.
