A joint soil sampling campaign within the DiGraSo project took place on 16 October 2024 at selected grassland sites with high and low vascular plant diversity in the Jizera Mountains and the Bohemian Paradise. The sampling was conducted by project researchers from the Technical University of Liberec as the lead partner together with project partners from the Senckenberg Museum. Soil samples were collected at the Pod Kapličkou and Mariánská Hora sites in the Jizera Mountains and at the Koberovy and Hrachovice sites in the Bohemian Paradise. Students from India and Brazil also participated in the fieldwork and assisted with soil collection.
This activity supports the project’s objectives to better understand ecological processes influencing grassland biodiversity in protected areas of the Czech–Saxon border region.
